The Real Monster

 You have to become the monster before you can learn to control it.

That is mastery.

Anyone can appear kind when they have no power.

True mastery is possessing the ability to be ruthless, yet choosing restraint because you control yourself—not because you are incapable of doing otherwise.

Power without self-control creates a tyrant.

Self-control without power creates helplessness.

Mastery is having both power and discipline, and knowing exactly when to use each.
